We are implementing a "Super Search" result search-filter and a files/folders search-filter for the "Explorer" part of NewsLeecher.We are also looking into an issue concerning the new V8 leeching engine, that occasionally (rarely for most users) causes downloading articles to 'go to sleep' for several seconds/minutes, before waking up again to finished the transfer. I've set Newsleecher to keep its binaries for 700 days, and it seems to have worked for the groups that I've subscribed to after doing this, but the groups I had subscribed to before changing this setting still only show 30 or so days worth of binaries. NewsLeecher V8.0 Beta 2 is currently being worked on. But who knows, the spammers are tricky bastards, so we'll have to wait and see. Hopefully, though, the updates will help prevent these massive amount of spam from hitting the forums in the future. Due to this, we will make some anti-spam updates to the forum software over the next few days, so expect a bit of forum downtime.

The bug has now beed fixed, and the search/indexer/deobfuscator service is running again. The SuperSearch service was down for some time yesterday, due to a bug in the SuperSearch frontend software. This includes hacking, using a loophole, or other methods not publicly advertised by the usenet provider. No promoting of 'backdoor' access into usenet providers' networks. We do not allow attempts to request/offer/buy/sell/trade/share invites or accounts. We will even add flair to your username after verification.
